If anybody wants a terrific primer on the problems facing the U.S. health care system - and on how Obamacare makes those problems worse while other solutions could really work to make them better - one would be well advised to read a speech that House Budget Committee Chairman Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) gave to the Hoover Institution on Tuesday. The problem, in short, is government interference in the health-care market; the solution is to give markets a chance to work.

When it comes to the public airwaves, especially during primetime, I'm proudly and enthusiastically in favor of prudery and censorship. One does not need prudery, though, but merely common decency, to object to NBC's new show "The Playboy Club" (henceforth in this column merely TPC).

President Barack Obama’s “job” proposal unfortunately is based on no historical evidence that such policies actually create jobs. If past is prologue, then it is probable that policies almost directly counter to Obama’s would be most likely to get the economy moving again.

On two important fronts in recent weeks, the political left continued its battles against religious freedom and traditional values. The double standards at play, not to mention the affronts to faith and morality, are astonishing.
